Practicing What I Preach

I am a big proponent of low cost no cost restaurant marketing.  I also teach people how to get free press and garner tons of media attention through press releases.  Recently my family was chosen to be on Home Made Simple on TLC.  It didn’t just stop there I took it as an opportunity to gain exposure for one of my restaurants.  I further pushed the opportunity with a press release and got in the News and Observer and several website newswires and blog posts. I even shared it with all my guests through newsletter, emails, website, facebook and twitter.

I think every restaurant owner has the ability to talk about the great stuff and charitable contributions in their restaurants.  Restaurant Success Members get a copy of my special report which outlines all the details of how to get manage your PR and fundraisers and how to use it all to get gobs of FREE Publicity. Members can tune into a special audio posted on exactly How To Get Massive PR and Use Fundraising.

Local restaurateur to appear
on TLC’s ‘Home Made Simple’

Submitted by Sue Stock on 04/08/2010 – News & Observer

Fans of Raleigh’s Jumpin’ Jonny’s restaurant will be able to spot the restaurant and owner Jonathan Munsell on an episode of TLC’s “Home Made Simple” this weekend. Munsell and his wife, Cheryl have a busy life, running their restaurant company and raising their two sons, ages 3 and 6. Last year, Jonathan had back surgery that made him unable to walk for a month. Between health issues, running the restaurant and donating time and food to many area charities, the Munsells simply did not have time to finish some home improvement projects they had started. The “Home Made Simple” crew visited the Munsell’s Cary home in June, but the episode featuring the family has not yet aired. It will debut on TLC this Saturday at noon.

April 10th – Jumpin’ Jonnys is going to be on TV – For Real!!

Home Made Simple
Saturday at 12 noon on TLC Jonny on TV

Jonathan and Cheryl Munsell moved to North Carolina so Jonathan could follow his culinary quest for restaurant ownership. The couple serves the community by volunteering at a local mission where Jonathan and his employees lend their cooking skills. Although he loves life as a “restaurant guy,” Jonathan’s business involves long hours and stressful situations. Major surgery last year left him unable to walk and left Cheryl in charge of both home and business. Some of the family’s home projects have been left unfinished due to Jonathan’s back problems, but the couple and their two boys hope the Home Mavens can serve up some décor ideas for their white walls and organizing solutions for their storage needs.
